It's hard to believe that the Video Project is on year 4! We're back with something really exciting! How does a Murder-Mystery sound?! Paying homage to the classic detective game Clue which goes all the way back to 1943, we have our script mostly ready and are deciding things like wardrobe, and props. We decided on 2 shooting locations and at this weeks session we met at the Autism Nova Centre in Halifax which will be one of the locations and picked out possible places we'd like to do the filming as well as doing a script read through. We do a full script read-through each week and the group members have shared many ideas about who their characters are and their backgrounds. As we get close to filming our murder-mystery before the end of this month, there's a lot of excitement and ad-libbing happening at our weekly production meetings. The group has such a wealth of knowledge about films and television that there's rarely a shortage of ideas!
Like - the audience is being invited to be part of the murder-mystery! Check back for another update soon! You can see Video Project's last 3 Productions - http://autismnovascotia.ca/program/43

On April 27th 2019, the Video Project Club hosted a Red Carpet Film Premiere to show their short film entitled "Enigma" to the community. The film was such a hit and the evening was full of fun and celebration of all the countless hours of hard work that was put into making this film a success. A special thank you to Enactus Dalhousie for helping us book the Kenneth Rowe Building for the event. Also to MacFarlands Events for sponsoring the event by donating the red carpet. Another GIANT thank you to cape and cowl in Sackville for allowing our video project members to use their store for filming. We could not have made this event so successful without all of our sponsors, volunteers, ANS staff members and our audience who attended the event. THANK YOU!! If you weren't able to join us, we have uploaded the video to our YouTube page, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uurPrBdL1PE We can't wait to get started on our new film in October. See you next year!! -Caitlyn The "Agents of Change" Film Premiere was a hit! Everyone enjoyed the film and there were many laughs to be had. We rolled out the red carpet to welcome the magnificent stars of the film and ate a whole lot of cake!
Big shout out to Dalhousie for donating the space for our Premiere Night, and an even bigger shout out to all the cast and crew involved in Video Project this term! You all rocked it! -Elizabeth On April 28th, Video Project had their very first film screening of the short film "Autism Minutes: Our World Without Autism". Members of Video Project worked hard for two months to create story boards and scripts, film, and star in the film.
The turn-out was great; there was even a red carpet, and question and answer portion with the actors. We would like to thank everyone for coming out and showing their support for the Video Project!
