That's a wrap! All of camp is wrapped up! This last week we had a special visit from the fire truck and police car as well as lots of swimming at the Wave Pool and Needham Pool.
We have enjoyed getting to know each and every camper this summer. All of their smiling faces and unique personalities sure left a lasting impression on our counsellors. We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and we hope to see you all next year!
This is our last camp of the summer! It has been a wonderful summer getting to know each and ever camper. This week we had a special visit from Little Rays Reptiles. Check out the pictures below! Tomorrow we will be visiting the Discovery Centre. We will update with more photos and fun next week.
We had a great end to another great group of campers! We had visit from the police car and fire engine today. Some camp highlights include swimming at the lake and Wave Pool, playing on the playground and bowling. Check out our pictures below.
This week and next week we have our oldest campers! They are 15-21 years old, many of them are in High School and a good number will be moving on to other camps and programs next year. Being in a new camp location this year has been a big change for a lot of these campers however from our pictures below you can see they are loving the new space and beating the heat. Today we had a visit from Little Rays Reptiles. We will post more next week :)
These past 2 weeks have flown by! Though it has been hot in our new camp location we have managed to beat the heat and have a good time with water play, kite flying, making slime, learning trivia and swimming at the lake and our community pools! We visited Hop! Skip! Jump! The Discovery Centre and tomorrow we have Touch-a-Truck including a fire truck, police car and race car. We cannot wait to see what the next camp brings.
Ben James Summer Camp
We had a great first camp! We made friends and explored the city. We visited Hop! Skip! Jump! the Wave Pool, Discovery Centre and a special visit from the Police and Fire Fighters!
Last week was our last week of camp for the summer! We can't believe how fast the summer passed by!
Everyone enjoyed each day to the fullest and we saw big smiles all week long. Our biggest highlight was the vehicle visit. It was a wonderful way to end the week and the summer. Everyone had a blast sitting in the firetrucks and learning about what it's like to be a fire-fighter from the wonderful firefighters who came to visit.
As we wrap up camp this year, we look back on all the great memories with a smile. We had so much fun with each and every camper that passed through our site this summer. We hope to see everyone again next year and are already counting down to Summer Camp 2018!!
Big shout-out to all our Ben James staff, volunteers, campers, parents/guardians, and members of the community for being so amazing this summer!! We could not have done it without you all! Have a great year, and we hope to see you next summer! :)

As the long weekend arrives and Week 1 of our Third Camp comes to an end, we find ourselves smiling at all the wonderful memories we made this week. All campers, staff, and volunteers had such a great time.
There were some beautiful sunny days that allowed us to spend some time outdoors. We went on a Nature Hike through the trails and decorated the sidewalk with colourful chalk drawings. Our week ended on a high note as we had a fantastic trip to the Discovery Centre!
We hope everyone has a great long weekend and we can't wait to see you on Tuesday for week 2!
